What is YAW?
The Young Actors Workshop (YAW) at The Portland Players offers youth the opportunity to learn about theater, performance, and stagecraft. It emphasizes skill-building, creativity, and self-expression through workshops and productions designed for young actors. The program is dedicated to fostering a love of theater in children and teens through hands-on experience, guided by seasoned instructors.
2025 Young Actors Workshop: Beetlejuice Jr.!
Open to aspiring actors aged 7 to 13, this exciting workshop runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting January 11 through April 12, 2025.
Performances will take place on April 12 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. This hands-on experience is perfect for young performers eager to explore their passion for theater.
