An Invitation To Students
The Portland Players extends an invitation to students (through high school) to attend the first Sunday matinee performance of each show. The students see a finished production, engage in a curtain call discussion with the cast, crew and director, and are given a tour of the theatre. There is a charge of $6 per student, which supports the Joe Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund. Each season a scholarship is awarded to a student or individual pursuing a secondary theatrical education. For more information, please contact the Box Office.
Outreach Night
Outreach Night is held each Thursday evening prior to the Friday Opening Night performance, and is offered to those indivdiuals who would not otherwise be able to attend a production due to a financial situation, or residency in a nursing home or other institution. Social Service organizations are also contacted for their input. If you know of an organization that could benefit from this program, please contact the Box Office. |
