Director's Letter
Little Shop of Horrors, with its melodic pre-pop doo-wop sound is a camp classic that has seen its share of renditions over the years. It was a black & white B movie in the 60’s starring a young Jack Nicholson as Seymour. Then in the late 80’s it was made into a somewhat successful movie starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and the late Vincent Gardenia. Recently, Little Shop of Horrors finally made it onto the Great White Way in a Multi-Million dollar Broadway run. What more can you ask for in a musical? With its central love story, Faustian influences and catchy score of hits including “Suddenly Seymour”, Little Shop is an evening of theater you are sure to enjoy. And tomorrow, after you’ve seen it, you may just want to skip the Miracle Gro on the ol’ petunias!!!! Many thanks to the Board of Directors for their support and huge thank you to Nancy Lupien for another fantastic job as producer.
